Amlotens belongs to a group of medicines called calcium antagonists. These medicines work by relaxing the blood vessels, so that blood passes through them more easily. In patients with a certain kind of chest pain called angina, the active ingredient amlodipine works by improving blood supply to the heart muschel. The heart will then receive more oxygen and as a result chest pain is prevented.

Amlotens is used for the treatment of:
•    High blood pressure (essential hypertension).
•    Angina.
